Abhishek Bachchan's Lefty stalled as Prabhudeva starts working on Salman Khan's Dabangg 3?

It was earlier reported that Abhishek Bachchan is speculated to work in choreographer-actor-director Prabhudeva's Lefty, which he is supposed to co-produce with Bunty Walia. Now, according to a DNA report, Prabhudeva has left the project hanging as he is all set to direct Salman Khan's magnum franchise, Dabangg's third installment.

In one of its earlier posts, Firstpost had said that Arbaaz Khan, who had directed Dabangg 2 refused to sit on the director's chair again and wanted to stick to being a producer. Hence, the Khan brothers were in search of a director for Dabangg 3, and reportedly zeroed in Prabhudeva for the project.

According to the DNA report, in Lefty, Jr Bachchan was supposed to play a left-handed man who takes upon himself to save the city from all problems. The film was to go on floors this January, but it kept on getting delayed. Now, with Prabhudeva working on Dabangg 3, it will further delay the film's production to another year and a half.

Meanwhile, Jr Bachchan is also reportedly working on Bachchan Singh directed by Priyadarshan and produced by Rajat Rawail and Suniel Shetty. The actor is said to have been signed on for many other films as well. Speculations suggest that Ronnie Screwvala has Abhishek Bachchan signed on for a film to be directed by a debutante director.

He is further said to be part of a thriller by Nishikant Kamat and Gulab Jamun by Anurag Kashyap.

On the other hand, Prabhu Deva will collaborate with Salman Khan for the second time. They had previously worked together in 2009 film Wanted which was again a major hit in the box-office.
