Images: State honours for constable Tomar who died during protests

Subhash Tomar, the Delhi Police constable succumbed to injuries sustained during the violence at India Gate on Sunday, was cremated yesterday with police honours. The body of the 47-year-old constable was consigned to flames amid chanting of hymns at Nigambodh ghat crematorium at 3.45 PM in the presence of a host of dignitaries. Minister of State for Home R P N Singh, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, Civil Aviation Minister Ajit Singh, Home Secretary R K Singh and Delhi Police Commissioner Neeraj Kumar were present along with top officers and men of the Delhi Police.
