The protests against the death of the Delhi gangrape victim continued in Delhi today with a demonstration at Jantar Mantar. Till 1 pm the protest was largely peaceful but after that a group of protestors, believed to be ABVP supporters, tried to break the police barricades. The protest then turned violent with the group, which carried flags and banners of ABVP trying to take out a march from Jantar Mantar to Connaught Place. But police prevented them from moving ahead, following which the clash erupted. Images from the protest at Jantar Mantar today.
