In today's world you need a wireless broadband connection

It's undeniable that we live in the era of the Internet. The way we communicate, the way we consume and the way we react to, and interact with, events that happen around us, are all shaped by the Internet. It's such an integral part of understanding the world today in fact, that the UN declared Internet access to be a human right in 2011. And due its nature of real time communication plus the fact that Internet content takes many forms - be it audio, video, text or images, it is imperative that users have fast and reliable Internet connections so as to fully experience it. Furthermore it is imperative that if Internet usage is to grow outside urban areas in India, that net connections are fast and easy to use. And this is why wireless broadband becomes more of a necessity than a luxury. read less read more

For a country that wants to take credit for the IT revolution across the world, when it comes to quality Internet speed, we’re ranked a lowly 114 as far as average connection speeds go globally. The average Internet speed in India is 0.9 Mbps which means we’re the only country in Asia that has an average speed below 1 mbps. Broadband connectivity, which means connections over 2mpbs, in India is just over 10 percent. While India is a growing market for mobile web usage, unless the connectivity and speeds pick up across cities, there’s no way that India’s Internet industry can grow. read less read more
