Ranbaxy posts Q2 net loss of Rs 580 crore

Drug firm Ranbaxy Laboratories reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 580.14 crore for the second quarter ended June 30, 2012.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 245.53 crore during the same period of previous year, Ranbaxy Laboratories said in a filing to the BSE.


The net sales of the company rose to Rs 3,174.06 crore during the quarter under review compared to Rs 2,053.74 crore in the year-ago period.

Shares of Ranbaxy were trading at Rs 500.10 on the BSE in the late afternoon trade, down 2.96 per cent from its previous close.
