Premium passenger carrier Vistara has selected avionics major BAE Systems’ in-flight entertainment (IFE) system to provide preloaded content to its passengers across all three cabin classes in its fleet of Airbus A-320 aircraft.

According to the airline, the BAE Systems’ ‘IntelliCabin’ IFE system provides wireless streaming of preloaded content to customer’s personal electronic devices.

The airline will also provide a Samsung Galaxy Tab S tablets for its business class customers for using the IFE system. So basically, business class passengers will be given pre-loaded tablets to watch movies and documentaries, play games and listen music while other passengers can access these entertainment options through their smartphones. Vistara it seems wants to move to the next phase of wireless streaming of content if and when regulations permit access to the internet.

The company added that its entire fleet will incorporate this system, which is expected to go live in another six months.
