Last week, the Civil Aviation Ministry appears to have washed its hands off the employee woes of Kingfisher Airlines, and officials stated that salary arrears are a matter of labour law and airline employees need to approach concerned authorities to get their grievances addressed.
KFA pilots are hopeful that the salary dues would be cleared over the weekend. Troubled Kingfisher Airlines would
have to submit a “concrete” plan for running the carrier to aviation regulator DGCA and satisfy it on all aspects like
safety and payment of salaries before it is allowed to resume flights, Civil Aviation Minister Ajit Singh said today.
