News18 Rising India Summit: Narendra Modi to open event; visionaries to celebrate country's journey from take-off to triumph

With none other than the Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the top speaker, News18’s Rising India Summit on 16-17 March promises to be a highly significant affair. The Summit, to be held in New Delhi, will be inaugurated by the Prime Minister with his keynote address. The President of the Republic of Gabon, Ali Bongo Ondimba will be among foreign dignitaries. The Economic Survey has mentioned that India would re-establish itself as the world’s fastest growing major economy with GDP expanding by 7-7.5 percent in 2018-19. The survey has pegged the GDP growth for the current fiscal at 6.75 percent. The World Bank in its ‘Ease of doing business’ report has ranked India at 100th position – a jump of 30 places from its previous ranking. The Rising India Summit will act as a crucible, where churning of ideas takes place as experts from diverse fields contribute on India’s growth story.
