In a step that could be seen as adding salt to the Congress’ wounds after the elections, the BJP could end up changing the names of several national programs and schemes that have been named after the three pillars of the Nehru-Gandhi dynasty - Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi.
New aviation minister, A Gajapati Raju, has already proposed changing the name of the Hyderabad airport from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport to a one honouring the late Andhra chief minister and actor NT Rama Rao.
IBN reports that there a staggeringly high number of buildings, schemes and places named after members of the Nehru-Gandhi family.If the BJP has its way perhaps we’ll have less things named after the Gandhi family.
