Indian Institute of Management-Lucknow today reduced the fee for its postgraduate progammes by 10 percent, marking a trend reversal as most B Schools have revised fees upwards in the recent past.
"IIM-Lucknow board has decided to reduce the fee for the postgraduate programme in management (PGP and PGP agri business management) by 10 per cent. From the current Rs 12
lakh, the fee has come down to Rs 10.8 lakh," IIM-L Director Devi Singh said.
The new fees will be applicable to both the post-graduate MBA and post graduate programme in agri-business management. The duration of both the courses is two years.
IIM-Lucknow has not done any upward fee revision since 2011.
Earlier this week, IIM-Bangalore increased the fees by 6 percent for the 2015 batch to Rs 17 lakh from 15 lakh. However, with a total fee of Rs 16.6 lakh, the IIM-Ahmedabad which is ranked highest among all IIMs, leads the fee front.
