I-T officials raid GMR properties across India

Income Tax Department officials on Thursday raided the offices of GMR in multiple cities over suspected tax evasion, a CNBC-TV18 report said today.

GMR Group was among the companies that anti-corruption activist Arvind Kejriwal sought a probe into, along with companies like India Bulls and Business Park Town Planners (BPTP).

The search and seizure operations are being carried out at the company’s Bangalore, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Delhi office.

A GMR spokesperson confirming the development.

Shares of the company are trading 2.5 percent higher at Rs 23.50 on BSE in afternoon trade.
