Sources told CNBC TV-18 that the Power Ministry has asked the Coal Ministry to ask Coal India Limited (CIL) to expedite final Fuel Supply Agreements.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, CIL must supply at 80% trigger level, the sources said.

However, the Power Ministry was silent on imports & price pooling, the sources told the channel.
The PMO had earlier directed imports in case of shortfall. It also sought price pooling for imported coal.
