Bet this will surprise you: Renowned billionaire Warren Buffett, apart from being an investing pro, also knows how to carry a tune.
And he will be showcasing that skill to a Chinese audience later this month.
According to state-run Xinhua news agency, the American investor has recorded a special video that will be played as part of a Spring Festival Gala.
The gala will mark the Chinese New Year on 23 January.
The report said Buffett sings and plays the guitar in the video, but did not elaborate on what song he was singing — or in what language.
“We all know that Buffett is good at investment, but few knew he also did well in singing,” Wang Pingjiu, a production executive for the broadcast, was quoted by the news agency as saying.
There will be performances from other international stars, such as pianist Robert Wells and Kung Fu actor Jackie Chan, at the gala, the report said.
The gala will be streamed on cntv.cn, the Xinhua added.
According to BBC, Buffett does have some experience in crooning — he previously appeared in an advert for insurance firm Geico.
Come 23 January, we’ll find out if he still has a ‘golden’ voice, in addition to his golden investing touch.
