After intriguing the audiences with a glimpse of the film in its trailer, the makers of Ittefaq have released the title song of the film which recreates the 1982 Namak Halal’s song ‘Raat Baaki Baat Baaki’ and has a unique sound to it.
The reprised track is titled ‘ITTEFAQ SE’, as the line from the original ‘Pyar se’ has been changed to ‘ITTEFAQ SE’, this was done keeping the thriller genre of the movie and gives the song an interesting twist.
The track launched today along with a promotional music video, starring Sidharth Malhotra, Sonakshi Sinha and Akshaye Khanna. They are seen portraying their movie character in the music video as well, thus taking forward the theme of the movie and maintaining the mysterious vibe and look. The song will be a part of the credit role, as Ittefaq is a songless thriller with a run time of only 100 mins!
The song sounds like 2017's rendition of the original and offers a perfect soundscape to the thrilling visuals of the film. Originally composed by Bappi Lahiri, the music has been recreated by Tanishk Bagchi, also known as the remix guy of Bollywood who has recreated some of the most popular older tracks in recent times. With Ittefaq Se, he is all set to work his magic once again. The lyrics are originally written by Anjaan with support on additional lyrics by Tanshik, the vocals are by Jubin Nautiyal and Nikita Gandhi.
Co-produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, BR Studios and Dharma Productions, Ittefaq is slated for a theatrical release on November 3rd.The film is an adaptation of Yash Chopra’s 1969 hit film by the same name.
