Watch: Video shows you 10 ways to annoy a 'Madrasi'

We’re all guilty of stereotyping Tamils and Chennai, as a city. From calling them Madrasis to not quite understanding their unusual customs, most of us have faced the wrath of our Rajnikanth-watching, dosa-eating, filter-coffee loving friends. [caption id=“attachment_2267830” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] Screengrab from video[/caption] To help us know what are the do’s and dont’s,  comedy group Culture Machine has uploaded a new video titled ‘Enna Da Rascalas’. Titled ‘How to annoy a person from Chennai in 60 seconds’, the one minute fourty-five second long clip hits the right note. Directed by Mathivanan Rajendran and Bhargav Prasad and starring Kiran Naig, the video  features various things we unknowingly do that tick off people who are from Chennai. It starts off with the Naig trying to eat a dosa with a fork and knife (as seen in the picture above) and goes on to highlight several other antics, like comparing the city of Chennai with other cities, calling people who reside in Chennai as ‘Madrasis’ (oh no! you didn’t), not knowing how to eat from a banana leaf and trying to drink filter coffee without the froth among other things. What makes the video work is Naig’s hilarious expressions as he moves on from doing one thing to another that would annoy people who live in Chennai and its apt selection of annoying things that Chennaities have to tolerate.

While we love the video, we are genuinely surprised that there is no mention of the Thailava on the list!
