Watch Raanjhanaa trailer: Will Sonam fall for Dhanush or Abhay Deol?

First things first. Dhanush is far from being your regular Bollwyood stunner. Wafer thin, scruffy and average looking, he is probably not a patch on the current crop of new Bollywood actors, at least in the looks department.

However, this was the same guy who had the nation hooked to his gibberish of a song called Kolaveri Di. So let's give it to him - there's something about Dhanush. With the Raanjhanaa trailer out, you get just a little closer to unravelling the Dhanush mystery.

Cast opposite Sonam Kapoor, Dhanush plays an unremarkable, young Indian boy in UP, in love with Kapoor's character. From the trailer it seems like Sonam and Dhanush are childhood friends immensely fond of each other, till Abhay Deol is his UP hunk glory turns up at Sonam's doorstep.

The trailer, set to a peppy song, seems cut to turn the country's spotlight on Dhanush. From being a gawky schoolboy to the harmless, albeit annoying, neighbourhood lover boy, Dhanush seems to be at ease with the several shades of his character. Though his dialogue delivery, as is evident in the trailer, isn't hos strength, he seems to emote quite well without speaking.

But then, the trailer has Abhay Deol. Even in that bit-appearance in the promo, Abhay Deol manages to grab eyeballs. Sonam Kapoor, is well, busy being Sonam Kapoor in the promo - that is smiling broadly through all the frames.

Aanand L Rai, who directed the warm, funny Tanu Weds Manu is at the helm of the project. From the looks of the trailer at least, this is one film we should look forward to.
