Today, the Hollywood heart throb Tom Cruise turns 50, is single, and has three failed marriages, three children and over two decades of a fairly successful film career to his credit.
Cruise perhaps received the most unwanted early birthday present from his wife Katie Homles who filed for divorce on 30th June 2012, just 3 days before Cruise’s landmark 50th birthday.

And as the couch-jumping euphoria of his third marriage ended, Cruise found himself in the centre of many more controversies with media reports indicating that Holmes had filed for divorce because Cruise had wanted to send his six-year-old daughter Suri to Scientology boot camp.
The Top Gun star thus chose not to celebrate today. Instead, he is in Iceland, busy shooting for his upcoming sci-fi adventure, Oblivion.
However, with two decades of admiring this enduring actor onscreen we all know by now that he is indeed capable of all mission impossibles.
He survived the broken marriage of his parents as a child, fought dyslexia, lived through the rumours of being gay during his separation with Nicole Kidman and is still the last Samurai standing.
And as he turns 50 today, we can only hope that he have a happy birthday this year and is happier still in the years.
