Snapped! Aamir Khan’s new look – Is it for Dhoom:3?

The handlebar moustache that Aamir Khan grew for Reema Kagti’s film, Dhuan, has now given way, albeit temporarily, to a salt and pepper French beard with slicked back hair. Aamir is like the proverbial chameleon, experimenting with his looks ever so often and carrying them off beautifully each time. The speckled beard gives him a distinguished, yet edgy look and he sure looks great in it!

It is unclear so far which film this look is for – but in all likelihood it is for Yash Raj’s Dhoom:3 which he starts filming in early 2012 with Katrina Kaif, Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra.

If the new look is indeed for Dhoom:3, then Aamir's got it down pat! Raju Shelar/ Firstpost

It could also be a look test, among many, for his character in Dhoom:3 given Aamir is a stickler for perfection. If this is indeed the look for Dhoom:3, then he’s got it down pat! It’s going to be a rage among fans very soon.

Aamir is still filming Dhuan alongside Kareena Kapoor so the handlebar cannot be completely rid off just as yet as it is required for the pending continuity of the film.

Given Aamir’s penchant to keeping his film looks top secret and only revealing them to the public when he is ready with his sharp marketing strategies, it seems like it was an off day for him when he was shot by our photographer outside a Thai spa, two minutes from his Pali Hill residence in Bandra.

Right now, Aamir is enjoying the fresh mountain air away from the hustle and bustle of Mumbai at his bungalow in Panchgani with wife Kiran Rao where the couple had wed in December 2005. They complete five years of wedded bliss this year.
