Salman Khan to Sanjay Dutt: You’re 4 years older than me and I’m Bhai, you’re Baba?

It was an entertaining press conference at Mehboob Studio in Bandra earlier this evening that kicked off Bigg Boss Season 5 with Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt at their playful best on stage. It more than made up for the delay in the conference that was attributed to Sanjay’s makeup. Interesting. But the media greeted Salman and Sanjay with a thunderous applause once they took centre stage and their shenanigans began. When the CEO of Colors addressed Sanjay as ‘Baba’ and Salman as ‘Bhai’ – Salman interjected and looked at Sanjay and said, “You are four years older than me and I’m Bhai and you’re Baba! How did you manage this Baba? You started calling me Bhaijaan and now I am jagat bhaijaan!" The easy camaraderie between the two hosts is sure to double the ratings of the show. There were many more hilarious moments during the conference; the one that really stood out was when Sanjay asked Salman for how many crores would he consider going inside the Bigg Boss house. Salman in his nonchalant way quipped, “Hum dono to free mein bandh ho jaate hain!” Both of them laughed at their own jokes, which made a mockery of their own lives more than anyone elses. Sanjay also asked who should be put in the house – Mike Tyson or Shakira – and everyone said both, to which he said, “Itna budget nahi hai bhai!" It is an obvious hint that either of the two international stars could be on the show. [caption id=“attachment_96188” align=“alignleft” width=“380” caption=“Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt were at their playful best at a press conference kicking off Bigg Boss season 5. Raju Shelar/Firstpost”]  [/caption] Salman wants to put filmmaker David Dhawan, who cannot abstain from food, inside the house because he fears for his health and cares too much about him to let him continue binging. “When we are all out eating at the finest restaurants in any part of world, David will look at another diner’s plate and request the waiter, ‘Mujhe who chahiye jo who kha raha hai’ every time! He also picks up food from anyone’s plate; friend or stranger, he doesn’t care and walks past! And he even does not let go of any chance to pick up leftovers from room service food plates outside hotel rooms! His food habits are that bad, and if he goes into the house, he will become fit and healthy because food is a big issue inside the house as you all know.” The catch-line this season is ‘55, 55, 55 Double Waat!’ Sanjay also asked Salman the question that is on everyone’s mind – his health. “My surgery went fine and I was a 100% ok, even though after this, you are about 30-40% healed. The cold in Dublin (he was filming Ek Tha Tiger there) messed it up a bit and it hurts to even laugh loudly right now, but with all the prayers and love from all of you, I am going to be 100% fine very soon. I will go back in 3-4 months for another checkup and then, I’ll be back in full form!” said Salman. Looking at him, you would not guess the man just went through a major illness and shot for Ek Tha Tiger right after and today, charmed everyone present at the Bigg Boss 5 event, despite it all. He’s the boss all the way! The names of the players in the fifth installment of the show will only be revealed in the first episode which airs on 2 October on Colors.
