Salman Khan, Parineeti Chopra shake a leg at Sania Mirza's sister sangeet in Hyderabad

Ace tennis star Sania Mirza’s sister Anam is all set to tie the knot. She had a star-studded sangeet ceremony in Hyderabad in which actors Salman Khan and Parineeti Chopra shook a leg on the stage.

Deccan Chronicle reports that as Mirza was performing on the song Baby Ko Bass Pasand Hai from Salman’s film Sultan, the superstar joined her on the stage for an impromptu dance.

Chopra also joined the brigade and the trio shook a leg together.

Chopra even retweeted a picture of the three and mentioned the name of her item song Jaaneman Aah from Rohit Dhawan’s comedy Dishoom in the caption.

Khan is a family friend of the Mirzas and that is why he flew down to attend Anam’s wedding. His equation with Sania is well documented as he had unveiled her autobiography Ace against the Odds in Mumbai earlier this year in July. Chopra, another good friend of Sania, had launched the book at an event in Delhi.

According to a report by Filmi Beat, Sania had gone on record and said that Khan should play the role of her husband Malik if a biopic is ever made on her life.

Also, India Today reported that Khan came out in favour of Sania after Telangana Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) leader K Laxman had criticised the decision of the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) to appoint her as the brand ambassador of the newly created state. Among other stars in attendance was Arjun Kapoor who tweeted a picture of him surrounded by Chopra, Sania and filmmaker Farah Khan.

Farah is Sania’s BFF and the two are slated to appear together in an episode of the chat show Koffee with Karan Season 5. Huma Qureshi and the south sensation Ram Charan also attended the high profile do.

Deccan Chronicle reports that Mirza and her husband Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik also presented a couple dance performance for Anam. They danced to the tunes of Gerua from Rohit Shetty’s Dilwale and Dhal Gaya Din from TR Ramanna’s 1970 film Humjoli.

The same report suggests that Mirza had been rehearsing for the past 15 days and Malik joined him when he arrived in India on Wednesday. Besides the family, Anam’s friends and her fiancé also performed in the ceremony.

“The sangeet was a blockbuster. Sania’s wedding was not so grand because of the controversies back then, but she made sure that she didn’t leave any stone unturned when it came to her sister,” said Aaryan Rajput, the official choreographer, as per the report by Deccan Chronicle.
