The National Commission for Women had asked Salman to issue a public apology after his infamous 'felt like a raped woman' remark.

When he did not comply, they issued a summons to the actor to appear before the panel.

In the meantime, the Commission's state wing had also asked the actor to explain his remarks.

Salman had sent a reply to the NCW through his lawyers, however, it was reported that his letter did not contain any apology.

The Commission had issued a fresh summons to the actor, for 7 July. However, news channels reported that Salman had defied the summons yet again.

A spokesperson for the Commission said they are not satisfied with Salman's response, and that nothing less than "Salman's personal appearance" before the panel would do.
