Salman and Katrina don’t want you to pay more for Ek Tha Tiger

by Aug 10, 2012

Salman Khan will be an ‘expensive’ tiger to watch this month as some multiplexes have already announced plans to raise the ticket prices of Ek Tha Tiger by 12-16 percent.

Now, of course the expectations are high from a Salman Khan film and the multiplex owners want to cash in as much as possible, from one of the most awaited movies of the year. The movie is expected to effortlessly cross the much coveted 100 crore mark. With Ek Tha Tiger releasing on a national holiday (15 August, Independence Day) and its first weekend in the box office coinciding with Eid, his fans are more likely to shell out those extra bucks, to see their favourite actor romance Katrina Kaif  on screen and beat up the bad guys.

But when Rajeev Masand of CNN IBN asked Salman Khan during an interview, if  he was in consensus with the decision of multiplex owners to hike the ticket prices of Ek Tha Tiger, guess whose opinion Salman asked first. His ex- girlfriend Katrina Kaif! Katrina very categorically stated that she doesn’t think that the prices should be raised. Well, how could Salman have differed? Katrina Kaif has said so. Khalaas! They shouldn’t hike the prices’ was Salman’s answer.

‘I one hundred percent believe that the fans should not have to pay so much more. Multiplexes increasing the prices, it is like..business wise will mean a huge business for us, which is a big positive for us, because that much more collection will come in, but I don’t think this is right, I don’t think they should hike the prices (sic)’  he added.
