“He enquired from the doctors about me and like a family elder told me to strictly follow the medical suggestions prescribed,” Sinha told PTI from his hospital room.

Sinha, 66, a BJP Lok Sabha member from Patna Saheb in Bihar, said, “For me Advani ji is a father-figure and his visit has given me a lot of comfort.”

The actor-politician, who is in the hospital since July 2, has been visited by a number of Bollywood colleagues including Amitabh Bachchan, his actress wife Jaya and son Abhishek and actor Salman Khan, said filmmaker Pahlaj Nihlani, who is related to Sinha.

Popularly known as “Shotgun Sinha”, the actor said he is fine now and is undergoing physiotherapy and cycling daily as advised by doctors. “I expect to return home in another 3-4 days,” he said.

Sinha was admitted to Kokilaben hospital in suburban Andheri on July 2 after he complained of breathlessness due to some paint work at his residence ‘Ramayan‘ which has been renovated.

During investigations blockages were discovered in the coronary arteries. Based on medical advice Sinha underwent bypass surgery.

After surgery Sinha was shifted out of the ICU (Intensive Care Unit) to a hospital room on July 19.

Besides his wife, his “Dabangg” star daughter Sonakshi, twin sons Luv and Kush are looking after him. His elder brothers Lakhan Sinha and Bharat Sinha, who are doctors, are also keeping a close watch on his medical condition.
