Kareena to be Kareena Kapoor Khan in ‘Talaash’ credits

Sep 27, 2012

The most high-profile wedding of Bollywood is still to happen, or at least we believe it is. And of course, the media is still abuzz with 'name the date' stories of Saif-Kareena wedding.

Now the woman in question, aka Kareena Kapoor, who's wedding has taken more Page 3 space than any actress can ever hope for, will apparently be called Kareena Kapoor Khan in the Talaash credit roll.

Kareena, a true Bollywood blue blooded Kapoor by birth, will be married to beau Saif Ali Khan soon and is extremely excited to take up his surname.

Hindustan Times recently quoted an insider saying, “Kareena was always clear that she would add Khan to her surname. But the decision to use it in the film’s credits was taken by her only a few days back..”

The producers as well as Aamir Khan were fine with the decision.

Kareena still continues to be mum on whether she would convert to Islam before her wedding but the insider reiterated that the actress wanted to change her surname by her own will.

“He is happy with whatever Kareena decides. When she informed him about it (her new name being introduced in Talaash), Saif was fine since he isn’t a person who will put any sort of pressure,” said the insider.

'Khan' being the second most powerful surname in Bollywood with Salman, Shah Rukh, Aamir as well as Saif  ruling the industry for over a decade, no wonder Bebo is also adding it after her existing surname 'Kapoor' which is indeed the royal last name of Bollywood.
