After Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone, the next Indian actor set to work in Hollywood is Dhanush.
And guess who he is going to be working opposite? Non other than Pulp Fiction star Uma Thurman. NDTV reports that the actor is all set to make his Hollywood debut with Thurman and Alexandra Daddario (of True Detective fame) in a film that will be directed by Marjane Satrapi, who has earlier directed Persepolis.
If you thought that news was shocking enough, wait till you hear the tentative name of the film: 'The Extraordinary Journey Of The Fakir Who Got Trapped In An Ikea Cupboard.'
In this Times of India report, Satrapi reveals, "As I was watching various Indian movies, Dhanush became the most obvious choice — his intelligence, his killer smile, his ability to enter fully into the skin of any character he played (and I can go on and on forever) made me confident that he was the one."
Marjane Satrapi is a celebrated Iranian writer and dirctor, and her latest directorial venture was The Voices, which starred Ryan Reynolds.
In the film, Dhanush plays a character named Aja, who is a conjurer from an artists colony in India. He is secretly sent to Paris by his mother and that's when the movie begins, reports Hindustan Times. The film is expected to be shot in India, Paris, Morocco and Italy.
Dhanush, meanwhile, was last seen with Amitabh Bachchan in Shamitabh and he is awaiting the release of three of his Tamil films: Kodi, Rail and Vada Chennai.
Looks like 2016 is going to be quite the year for Indian actors in Hollywood!
