News of Ghajini actress Asin Thottumkal’s impending wedding to Micromax founder Rahul Sharma broke the internet earlier in 2015, when rumours started to float that Asin had stopped signing films and was planning to put a break on her career for her wedding. Well, the couple are now married! IBN-Live reports that they planned two weddings on the same day — a church wedding in the morning, followed by an evening Hindu marriage ceremony. The events took place at Dusit Devarana hotel on NH8, NCR. Asin has also been posting images of her wedding card on Instagram. Akshay Kumar was the first to receive their card, given that he’s the one who introduced the couple to one another:
Hindustan Times reports that the menu for the wedding is strictly vegetarian, and a special 10-tier vanilla cake has been made for the event. Asin wore a Sabyasachi creation on her wedding day. The functions in Delhi are restricted to close family and friends, however there is a lavish reception planned in Mumbai on 23 January for industry members. Meanwhile, Asin’s Twitter fan page also uploaded images of the wedding venue:
