Bhupathi and Lara got married in an intimate Christian ceremony at a luxury resort in Goa last February.
As the news spread on Twitter, congratulatory messages poured in.
Bhupathi’s doubles partner on the tour, Rohan Bopanna, tweeted, “@Maheshbhupathi @DuttaLara congratulations to Lara and Hesh. Officially Big DADDY now 
Doubles champion Bob Bryan of the United States tweeted, “@Maheshbhupathi @DuttaLara So awesome, guys!!! Beautiful!! Congrats!!”
Bhupathi’s South African trainer Shyamal Vallabhjee tweeted, “CONGRATS bro… Bring her back a trophy…”
It turned out to be a happy Friday for Bhupathi who earlier won his mixed doubles opener with Sania Mirza at the Australian Open.
