A judge had stayed the release of the film in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh after a lawyer filed a petition in the court alleging the film had vulgar dialogues and obscene content.
In his petition, lawyer Dinesh Chadha had also sought directions to the Central Board of Film Certification to reconsider the certificate of exhibition granted to the movie.
'Grand Masti', directed by Indra Kumar, is a sequel to the 2004 hit 'Masti'. The film has Vivek Oberoi, Aftab Shivdasani and Riteish Deshmukh reprising their roles from the original, along with Bruna Abdullah, Karishma Tanna, Sonalee Kulkarni, Kainaat Arora, Maryam Zakaria and Manjari Fadnis among others.
