The Australian singer said that his song Somebody That I Used to Know was written from his experience from many different relationships.

"Different lines in the song, may be, relate to different moments I remember from different relationships. It is not written about one specific break-up and there are some elements in it that are completely fictional."

He said he hasn't received many calls from his exes over the song.

"It is mainly because since the song got really big they've been asked by friends and it got really annoying from them."

Somebody That I Used to Know featuring Kimbra,  had a stop motion art video, went viral on the Internet and became a hit worldwide. The song has been nominated for Record of the Year, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance and Best Alternative Music Album at the 2013 Grammy Awards.
