Canada: “Glee” star Cory Monteith was found dead on Saturday at a hotel in Vancouver, Canada, police said. Monteith used to play the role of school heart throb Finn Hudson and was one of the lead characters in the soap.
Monteith, 31, was found dead at the Pacific Rim Hotel in the downtown section of the city, Vancouver Police Department acting chief Doug LePard told a news conference.
Authorities said the cause of death was not immediately apparent but that there were no signs of foul play.
CNN reports that Monteith had spent time in a rehab earlier this year. The star was fairly open about his substance abuse problem. In an interview to a magazine, he had revealed that he got addicted as a 13-year-old and went to rehab for the first time after his mother and friends intervened when he was 19 years old.
