We have got our hands on the second episode of 'Girls with Goals', a web series that documents the journey of a group of girls from underprivileged backgrounds, whose lives were transformed by training in football. The girls — who hail from a village near Ranchi — are are being coached by the NGO YUWA, powered by Lenovo.
In the new episode we see the YUWA girls in conversation with Ranbir Kapoor, who is supporting the NGO's initiative to build a better future for the girls, through football and education.
The girls in the squad have reached Spain, where they are participating in the Donosti Cup, the largest youth football tournament of its kind. They are now immersed in practice matches.
The tournament is crucial for the YUWA girls as winning will help them build a better school for themselves, back home. Right now, they study in tin sheds that leak during the monsoons.
Will Ranbir be joining them in Spain? Going by the actor's reaction in the video, he has left the girls hopeful of seeing him there to support them.
The girls are facing their first round of challengers between 4- 6 July and we will have to wait for the next episode to know how they performed.
