Filmmaker Kushan Nandy's upcoming film Babumoshai Bandookbaaz which stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Chitrangada Singh as the lead pair, is facing some trouble. Singh has reportedly walked out of the film after shooting for five days.
While Nandy has claimed the actress was asked to leave because of her unprofessional behaviour during the shoot, Singh claims Nandy spoke to her very rudely during the filming of an intimate scene, in front of the entire unit.
In this interview with DNA, Nandy opens up about his experience with Chitrangada: "The script of the film was lying with Chitrangda for over a year. Every single scene was explained in complete detail. She knew there were kissing scenes right from the time we had signed her, but she refused to do it point-blank on the set. We were left with no option, but to listen to her every time. I made it very clear to her that I was not going to take her nonsense anymore. She threatened to walk out, got into her car and left the set."
However, according to Hindustan Times, Chitrangada Singh has another story to tell: "We finished the shot and Kushan said that he didn’t like it. He wanted me to lie on top of Nawaz. Now let me tell you that I was wearing a petticoat for that scene.I turned around to tell Kushan about my predicament. But, he was in no mood to listen and we ended up having a big, loud argument."
As of now, Kushan Nandy and his team are continuing with the shoot and are finishing scenes with Nawazuddin. The film is being shot in Lucknow at the moment, while Chitrangada has returned to Mumbai. Swara Bhaskar has been reportedly approached to take on her role.
