The San Diego Comic Con was a treasure trove for trailers for upcoming movies and TV series. Following our wrap of the major trailers released on comic con yesterday, here's another bunch of unusual and interesting trailers that released at Comic Con that had fans lining up to have a better look at the show.
There was something for Star Trek fans, science fiction aficionados as well as die hard horror movie fans. Here's our list:
Here is the adaptation of Neil Gaiman's 2001 novel of the same name starring Ricky Whittle as Shadow, the protagonist who walks into a brewing war between the old and new deities. The star cast also includes Ian McShane as Shadow’s unasked-for patron Mr. Wednesday, and fans of the Gaiman novel will recognize a number of minor characters, from old-schoolers Mad Sweeney and Bilquis to new jacks like Technical Boy. Bryan Fuller's series is all set to release in 2017. X Files star Gillian Anderson joins the star cast as Marilyn Monroe.
No one knew the Blair Witch trailer was going to be out at the San Diego Comic Con until it was announced on Friday July 22 2016. The new Blair Witch stars James Allen McCune as the brother of Heather, one of the doomed campers from the original film. He and some friends return to the woods in an attempt to find her, and are soon haunted by the legend of the namesake Blair Witch who haunts the woods.
King Arthur: Legend of Sword
King Arthur: Legend of the Sword has a young Arthur (Charlie Hunnam) re-imagined as a petty criminal in Londinium, until he unknowingly claims Excalibur and is set on the path to becoming king. Directed by Guy Ritchie, this movie has a definite Game of Thrones look to it which will make it an interesting watch. The movie will debut on March 24 2017.
Star Trek: Discovery
A cryptic teaser for the new show is out. Discovery also happens to be the name of the starship for this series, which takes place in the timeline as the original series and takes place in the Prime Universe. The series will make its debut in 2017.
Actors Brianne Howey (Katherine), Hannah Kusulka (Casey), Geena Davis (Angela), and Alfonso Herrera (Father Tomas) come together to reprise the 1973 hit movie The Exorcist. The trailer looks as scary as it's 70s counterpart, but it has alot of expectations to live upto.
The other notable trailers included Gotham Season 3, The Arrow Season 5, Flash Season 3, Legends of Tomorrow Season 2 and Agents of Shield. Agents of Shield will feature Ghost Rider this season.
We also know that the trailers for Spider-man Homecoming and Guardians of the Galaxy 2 debuted at the comic con, but there is still time till the finished trailers will be released online.
The Spider-man Homecoming footage was set in high-school, and the movie is a straight up teenager high school movie about a 15 year old, according to IGN. The movie is set to release on July 7 2017.
A new piece of concept art was also revealed, showing Spider-Man fighting Vulture, the villain presumed to be played by Michael Keaton.
