Akshay Kumar pays Rs 18 crore advance tax, beats all the Khans

Akshay Kumar has been on a professional high for a few years now, delivering back to back hits. And now the actor has beat all the Khans of the Bollywood industry to become Mumbai’s top advance taxpayer for the sixth consecutive year.

Akshay, who is still basking in the success of Special 26, had four big hits in 2012 -‘Khiladi 786Housefull2Rowdy Rathore and Oh My God. In 2013, he will star in films like Naam Hai Boss, his home production, Once Upon a Time in Mumbai 2 and Ramanna.

According to reports, Akshay has paid Rs 18 crore as advance income tax, outnumbering the top three Khans — Salman, Shah Rukh and Aamir.

This year, Dabangg star Salman Khan landed second in the list by paying Rs 11 crore, while Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan is in the third spot by paying Rs 10.5 crore.

Aamir, meanwhile, is believed to have paid Rs 8 crore.

As for Bollywood actresses, Katrina Kaif topped the list, reportedly paying Rs 4.5 crore while Kareena Kapoor is said to have paid Rs 4 crore.  Priyanka Chopra was left far behind in the race and paid Rs 2 crore.
