After all the awards this year, Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor has reportedly been invited by the prestigious Yale University to deliver a speech there as a guest lecturer.

Times Of India reported that an invite was send to Ranbir Kapoor to appear to speak at the Yale University on 8 April.

Kapoor isn’t the first Bollywood star to be invited by the prestigious institution, Shah Rukh Khan was also invited by the university last year.

Khan had joined the roster of Yale University’s Chubb Fellows, one of the Ivy League institution’s highest honours, on 12 April, 2012 for promoting human ideals through art.

However, the actor’s visit to Yale last year ran into controversy when Khan was detained for over two hours at the White Plains airport in New York by immigration authorities. He was travelling in a private plane and was accompanied by Nita Ambani, wife of Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani.

The episode had caused some tense moments for the university and Khan’s team as Yale officials contacted the Department of Homeland Security and the Immigration and Customs Department in Washington before Khan was cleared by the immigration.
