And on the anvil could be another inspiring sports biopic — this time on the paralympian Murlikant Petkar.
Petkar was a differently-abled former army man-turned-sportsperson who made India proud at the 1970 Commonwealth Games and the 1972 Paralympics in Germany.
Petkar was a boxer who later took up swimming, among other sports.
The Asian Age quoted Sushant as saying: "The minute I heard his story, I was on. I wanted to do it without a second thought. What an inspiring story! After playing Dhoni, I’m looking forward to playing Petkar, who never allowed his physical hurdles to stand in the way of his dreams. I like playing characters who dream big.”
There's no confirmation on when the Petkar biopic will roll.
In the meantime, Sushant has Dinesh Vijan’s Rabtaa, Homi Adajania’s Takdum, and Chanda Mama Dur Ke on the anvil.
