The next track from Karan Johar's upcoming film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, 'Bulleya' has released and the sizzling chemistry between Ranbir and Aishwarya has caught our attention.
The Sufi love song opens with Aishwarya saying, "Main kisiki zaroorat nahi khwaish banna chahti hoon".
The video also features flashes Ranbir and Anushka, and a short appearance by Fawad Khan towards the end. But the highlight of the song is undeniably the Ranbir-Aishwarya romance. They look every-bit a love smitten couple.
If the song is anything to go by, Karan Johar may soon be showing Bollywood how to portray older woman-younger man romance on screen.
Ranbir Kapoor plays a rockstar in the song and the romantic scenes are generously interspersed with scenes of Ranbir singing. These remind us of Ranbir Kapoor from his early days; the Ranbir from Tamasha and Rockstar that we've missed so much.
Going by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's performance in the song, one can say that this film might actually be a more rightful comeback for the actress. She is seen in all her former glory and steals every moment with her killer looks and stunning performance, something that seemed missing in her actual comeback film Jazbaa.
The song is said to be shot in Vienna and London, but its hard to notice the locales with the song having fast cuts and mostly close-up frames.
The soulful music with lyrics written by Amitabh Bhattacharya accompanied by Amit Mishra's rendition add to the charm of the romantic track.
The music is composed by Pritam and like many of his previous songs, 'Bulleya' also is facing allegations of plagiarism.
A report in Deccan Chronicle points out the that the introductory riff of the song has some similarities with Papa Roach's song 'Last Resort'.
Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is a romantic drama revolving around relationships and one sided love. The movie releases on 28 October.
