The role of Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore was taken over by Michael Gambon, which was widely appreciated by everyone but Richard Harris was sorely missed.
But little we did know, a famous Bollywood star had a chance to play the Harry's beloved mentor.
In a twitter chat with Toi Entertainment, Naseeruddin Shah opened up about his agent asking him if he would audition for the role. "...But I wouldn’t audition for it," wrote the actor.
He also went on to say that he wouldn't mind playing it, in a tweet:
