The episode previous night was quite explosive with mock court causing havoc inside the house leading to an ugly fight between Bani and Manu, and there’s also Rohan threatening to quit the show after Bigg Boss nominated him from the entire season for hitting Swami Om during the captaincy task. But today, it’s indeed the time for some celebrations with New Year 2017 ringing in, and the contestants leave behind all their stress when they spend time with host Salman Khan, who enters the house to bring in the new year with everybody.
Earlier, embarking on a new journey and welcoming the New year, Salman flags off Bigg Boss non-stop New Year Dhamaka episode by dancing to the tunes of his hit song Humka Peeni hai. Right before the New Year kicks in, Salman asks the contestants through Jio TV to share their experience of 2016 and their resolutions for the upcoming year. While Nitibha expresses her wish to become an actress and make it big in the industry, Om says that he wants to introduce a Bigg Boss world tour along with his 'followers'. When Manu says that he wished to get married and have a daughter, Salman pulls his leg saying that he'd already written a 'love letter' to his co-contestant Mona during the hostel task and all burst into laughter.
Adding some twist to the ongoing fun, Salman asks the contestants to set a New year resolution for their fellow contestants. When Lopa is asked to suggest a resolution for Bani, she says that Bani needs to stop walking out of any conversation and instead face the situation. On the other hand, Om suggests a New year resolution for Rohan and asks him to be more mature. Highlighting the biggest news of the year gone by, Salman quizzes the contestants about few major changes that the outside world has undergone in the recent past. Adding a bit of more fun and action to the evening, Salman introduces a bull task wherein the contestants are divided into pairs – Mona and Gaurav; Nitibha and Rohan; Lopa and Manveer; Manu and Bani. They are given an opportunity to win luxury budget goodies like pizza, cookies, donuts etc to make their new year a special one. The task requires a female contestant to sit on the ‘bull’ and pull down a hanging tag which specifies the food item they win.
Soon after, Salman leaves the contestants on an intriguing note by saying that they are about to witness a big surprise. Inside the house, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaacontestant Preetjyot Singh enters the house as Salman Khan to host Bigg Boss Non-Stop New Year Dhamaka. Overjoyed to see the little one in Salman’s disguise, the contestants enjoy his performance as he enacts the megastar spot on. But the fun and entertainment increases manifold as the real Salman Khan makes a thunderous entry inside the house and joins in the celebrations. After greeting the contestants, Salman gratifies the contestants’ quirky traits through a special awards ceremony. Highlighting Lopa and Bani’s endless tussle, Salman gives them a sash of Jaani Dushman while Gaurav gets the award for being the biggest Kaamchor of the house. Blabbermouth Om is awarded with the sash of Footage King and Biggest Bhukkad of the house. Bani bags most number of awards including vamp of the season and Kehna Kya Chahte ho award along with Gaurav as their ‘friendship’ leaves everybody wondering. Manu gets awarded for being the Namkeen personality of the house.
Swaying everyone to their tunes, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa contestants Salman Yusuf Khan, Teriya Magar, Karishma Tanna, Shantanu Maheshwari and Preetjyot set the stage on fire with their dhamakedaar performances. Bringing alive the strange friendship shared between Bani and Gaurav, Teriya and Preetjyot dance to Yeh Ladka hai Deewana while Salman joins Shantanu as they give a foot tapping performance on Aaj Ki Party. Adding a punch of comedy to the dance and drama are the artistes of Comedy Nights Bachao Taaza - Krushna Abhishek, Bharti Singh, Mubeen, Anita Hassanandani, Karan Wahi, Sudesh Lehri and Aditi Bhatia. It is surely a fun-filled evening with their hilarious take on demonetisation, a mock New Year’s Eve party and a couple looking to move in together. Joining them on stage are Bigg Boss ex-contestants and Bhojpuri actor Ravi Kishan, Vindu Dara Singh and Lovie aka Lokesh Kumari. All the contestants are excited and happy to see Lokesh, who wants her ‘brother’ Manveer to win the show. Kishan wishes Mona well saying he'd felt that she would be out within a week but she was still going strong. Kishan also wonders on what basis Om feels that he will win the show.
The night draws to a close with Manveer 'predicting' what 2017 holds for each one of them. Salman jokingly says that he chose Manveer to do the prediction because he feels most of the time Manveer and his friend Manu’s predictions on the show come true. As the clock strikes 12, housemates, along with Salman Khan bid adieu to 2016 and celebrate over cake and champagne. And in tomorrow’s ‘Weekend Ka Vaar’, Salman will take up the serious issue – the drama that unfolded inside the house during the final battle for captaincy between Rohan and Manveer. Rohan was infuriated when Om ruined his flower bed and out of rage he pushed Om but it appeared as if he had slapped him. As a result Bigg Boss punished Rohan by nominating him for the entire season. Rohan was so upset that he locked himself in the bathroom and threatened to quit the show. When questioned, Rohan will tell Salman that he had planned to push Om and that he did not intend slapping him. When Om insists that he was slapped and it could have got fatal, Salman threatens to slap him if he lied about it.
Not just this, Salman will also reprimand Om for his behaviour during the captaincy task and question the housemates that why they didn’t put him in jail when the ‘Toofan’ task was going on. And though we had assumed that amidst all the celebrations, there won’t be any eliminations, but looks like that isn’t the case. This week in the danger zone, were Gaurav Chopra, Bani J, and Mona Lisa, and it’s heard that Gaurav has been evicted from the show. While many thought that Mona will be shown the exit door, but word has it that it’s the TV actor, who has bid adieu to the reality show this week. Gaurav, Mona and Bani were nominated last week too, but then the makers decided to let go the eliminations since it was Salman’s birthday week, and Christmas was around the corner. But then, Priyanka Jagga was thrown out of the house, unceremoniously, for her poor behaviour inside the house.
