This is the second time I am asking you a question.First was in your Forbes twitinterview. I am 54 years old.I learnt chess in college days at Loyala Chennai and returned to the game at 40 and played casual chess for 12 years and then I ,on a whim, started playing tournaments all over the state.I studied chess theory in all the possible ways .I even got a FIDE rating.Surprisingly my performance in the stock markets(I am a proffessional investor in the markets for past 25 years) was fantastic in the past 2 years I played chess seriously. The reason , I think,is that I started reviewing my moves in the markets as in chess review of own games !! Enough of my story. My question-is it really worthwhile learning by heart(memorizing based on understanding of ideas) classical games as suggested by GM Ziatdinov to improve my middlegame or is it better to tudy positional chess and attacking games?

Hello Sir, in your opinion how to get rid from fear when playing in a tournament?

Vishy - I grew up idolizing you but never took chess as a career as it was not supposed to be a lucrative one in late ninetiess (and even today until you become a GM,IMO). My cousin and I used to play chess all summer long some 150-200 games every year and were almost even for a long time. The last time we stopped (some 15 years ago!) I was trailing him by some 8 games or so with a score reading more like 350-342 or something! I sometimes wish I took chess as a career but it is when I bought some good software I realized how deficient my game is! Ranting apart, wishing you all the very best in al the matches you play ever!

Hello Vishy. I have been a great fan of yours and have been watching your games live on the internet for many years now.And as you know fans can be crazy and on days when you lose it really upsets me as well to the extent that i can say 'i am having a bad day'.....the worst day i had was when you lost with Aronian recently at Bibao. I know you have said that Kasparov was your nemesis but does Aronian really 'get' to you or was it just a bad day ? As a avid fan i took the liberty of asking this uncomfortable question, feel free to skip it. Wish you all the best against Gelfand.

hi Vishy, where do you think in your preperation would you be most able to hurt Gelfand. Knowing that he prepares his openings well enough do you think your chances lie in creating messy positions where your tactical powers come to blossom against his play. I recently saw Magnus beat him in tal memorial in a similar situation. I know you are a tactical force, but i've never been able to assess Gelfands game, is he mostly a positional player or a tactical player. He certainly does not play as aggressively as Aronian or Topalov of 2005 - 2007. What are your views on that. Looking forward for the championship match.

When you are playing a match against a particular opponent and it appears that most of your preparation will not get used because of your opponents opening choices, how do you deal with it psychologically? I remember Kramnik's Berlin Wall forcing Kasparov out of all of his preparation and frustrating him.
