Hundreds of devotees take holy dip in Yamuna

Mathura, Oct 25 (IANS) Hundreds of devotees took a dip at the Yamuna ghats in Uttar Pradesh's Mathura and Vrindavan cities on the occasion of Yam Dwitiya Saturday morning, undeterred by the stink and high level of pollutants in the water, activists said. As per police estimates, the number could well be more than 100,000. Moscow, Oct 26 (IANS) Russia has worked out a long-term military development programme that envisages construction of an advanced aircraft carrier for the Navy, a high-ranking military official said Saturday.
